Feb 16, 2021 · If you want a movie Megan is missing whishes it could be, watch Lake Mungo. There's much better found footage/mockumentary films. A few of my faves are "The Taking of Deborah Logan", "The Bay", "Poughkeepsie Tapes" and "Hellhouse LLC". Megan is missing is very good, the last twenty minutes are disturbing af.

The photo 1 is Megan locked on a wood table with some iron things up on her mouth And head. Her mouth And eyes are Wide open. It’s really sadic, i don’t recommend people with weak stomaches to watch that movie And the final of it.

I will preface this by saying I am not a fan of found footage movies for the most part but I saw this movie on one of those “most disturbing movies of all time” lists so I decided to check it out. Let’s just say that at 84 minutes it was about 40 minutes too long.
Not sure about Megan is Missing, I need the intention of the filmmakers to not be creepy IRL. Bit of a lose-lose inviting your mates over to watch Megan is Missing - most would likely think poorly of you, and you'd think poorly of any who wanted to watch it over and over again. It's honestly not even that "shocking".

And the name of the character Megan is a reference to the child kidnapped by a pedo in her neighborhood and the resulting law that pedos have to identify themselves to neighbors. Its so tasteless to sexualize the characters the way the director did. 20.
Apr 27, 2022 · The vast majority of the movie was painfully boring, with the early attempts at shock value falling completely flat. The thing with this movie is that the only reason anyone talks about it, is because of a couple of still images in the later half and the last 10-15 minutes. Other than that it's a completely boring, and unremarkable movie. Reply.

So it this film from 2011 became massive during covid and I never thought to watch it untill last night. It's so bad, the acting and just about everything was so awful, I can see how the ending is disturbing ...
Nov 18, 2020 · Megan is Missing is more realistic as what happens in the end is stuff that happens all the time, which makes it disturbing. Serbian is disturbing in the sense that it’s so over the top fucked up. The craze over Megan is Missing did seem to be way over blown by tik tok people but I can see how it was a disturbing film.
Jul 26, 2023 · The movie is a rough watch for about 15 minutes, and a chore for 75. It’s funny you mention Lars Von Trier, as I also watched The House that Jack Built tonight. Seeing those kids get murdered was far more shocking to me than anything in MiM. Little kids getting violently killed on screen is still more taboo.
Nov 18, 2020 · Except it didn't. Megan is Missing is one of those movies people have been talking about for years long before tiktok. Specifically for 2 scenes. It's not the scariest horror movie but has some disturbing scenes. Don't believe any hype these days, people said that Veronica on Netflix was the scariest movie ever and it was this low budget shit fest.
