  1. Jan 24, 2022 · So I recently stumbled upon the drama Life starring Jo Seung Woo and Lee Dong Wook on netflix and was pleasantly surprised! Life is a drama depicting the life of doctors and management in a hospital and their struggle to find a middle-ground when a newly appointed CEO (Jo Seung Woo as Goo Seung Hyo) comes to the hospital.

  2. Jan 27, 2022 · I think this is not a very popular kdrama, but it is one I enjoyed a lot. Shows a lot of everyday life of an average korean family(no chaebols, thank god) and has a very nicely woven story. It has a few dramatic and unbelievable plots, but I feel it's bearable and worth watching anyways.

  4. You asked for “slow and steady romantic developments… featuring the simple life of ordinary people” and this is it in a nutshell. Both leads are very tentative when it comes to realising and accepting their attraction, but their intimacy is built through mutual trust and understanding.

  5. Sep 6, 2018 · Jesus this has got to be the best kdrama i've ever watched. I can't believe i spent most of my time on romance kdrama (nothing wrong with that though haha). While HP was more on the slice of life between friends, Life focuses more on the ethics of being a doctor who saves lives vs. a business making money. The 2 main characters have completely opposite mindsets and romance is put on the back ...

  9. One example of the subtle ways in which Life is a great drama is how the question of whether Jin-woo is the former hospital director’s biological son is only raised twice and never addressed; we don’t need to know the answer for the story to work, but knowing there are hints at it makes you pay attention to/second-guess Jin-woo’s actions ...

  10. The Producers isn't exactly slice of life, but it isn't like a regular kdrama either - it has slight mockumentary vibes (kinda like the office, but it gets less obvious as the show goes on). But it is a healing kind of a show, about mistakes and growth (it's not preachy I swear) and vvv underrated.
