  8. Aug 10, 2021 · Generally, I think the LEVELS FYI site is less reliable than StackOverflow, which invests a lot of money in its annual survey. However, many ML professionals have a master's or doctoral degree in computer science or a related area. There is a severe shortage compared to ML demand today. What justify their highest compensations packages.

  9. May 3, 2022 · Unfortunately levels.fyi only has accurate data for bigger companies (although it's improving). Glassdoor is just straight up wrong for many companies. EDIT: Fun fact, the creators of Level.fyi created that website because they were frustrated with the other salary information sites that had poor usability and/or inaccurate data with no other features to help visualize the data.

  10. Nov 5, 2020 · It's a game of leverage and utility. Highlight what you can bring to them and why you're worth that extra XX dollars. Use levels.fyi/glassdoor to see what they pay other people as a benchmark, NOT as a reason they should pay you more.
