Jimmy Wales recalls how he assembled "a ragtag band of volunteers," gave them tools for collaborating and created Wikipedia, the self-organizing, self-correcting, never-finished online encyclopedia.
Wales earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Auburn University and a master’s at the University of Alabama. From 1994 to 2000, he was the research director at Chicago Options Associates, a futures and options trading firm in Chicago.
