In recognition of the vital need to develop the human resources of the Muslim communities in non-Member Countries (non-MCs), IsDB launched its undergraduate scholarship program (SP) in 1983 under the title Scholarship Program for Muslim Communities (SPMC).

Jan 25, 2023 · Grantees who have completed their postgraduate studies are obliged to repay 50% of the monthly stipend amount they receive during their studies to the Local Education Foundation Fund (LETF) in the Islamic Development Bank member countries in small installments after they are employed.
Under the scholarship program, citizens of IDB member countries are eligible to apply for the scholarship to study at KAUST for a full-time 4-year PhD. The Program is jointly funded by IDB and KAUST to award 5 scholarships annually.
