The new Hudson Hornet, based on the Commodore, ran with the look, using a bored-out version of the standard L-head straight-six (308 rather than 262 cid). The low center of gravity and advanced design made cornering superior, and the dual-carbed engine provided power that could go up against the GM V8s.

The Specials were not only a lower trim level than the Packard-powered Ambassadors and Hornets, which remained in production, but were seven inches shorter!
Jan 8, 2024 · The Dodge Hornet is literally a rebranded Alpha Tonale. Compare the interiors of these two, they just took out the Alpha logo and replaced it with a Dodge logo and moved a few buttons around. Compare those two with the Jeep Compass; which are all built on the same platform. But the Compass interior resembles the Jeep interiors.
Apr 13, 2024 · Not cool with the young crowd and not big enough for a family. The Dodge Hornet has been a sales bomb . . . so far. As of April 2024, the Hornet has sold over 2,000 models each month of 2024, which is more than any month in 2023. If the Hornet sells 2,000 models at least each month, it could reach around 24,000 models sold by the end of the year.
