Quik (Mac) supports direct connection for HERO13/12/11/10/9/8 Black Cameras. For HERO9 and HERO8 Black cameras, ensure you have selected [GoPro Connect] by powering the camera on > [Swipe Down] > [Swipe Left] > [Connections] > [USB Connection] > select [GoPro Connect]. Quik (Mac) does not support direct connection for HERO (2024).
Mar 14, 2022 · I am trying to connect my Google Pixel 4a using GoPro Quik to my Hero 3 (white). The Pixel 4a is running Android version 12. I can successfully connect to the GoPro's WiFi network. Unfortunately when I try to add the GoPro in Quik where it tells me to turn the GoPro on then turn the WiFi on (which I do) I get the message "We Can't Find Your GoPro.
I updated the remote to 2.0.0 with my Hero 10. I was able to connect to the new Hero 13 and it updated the remote again to 2.0.1. It would work with the Hero 13 but not the Hero 10. I connected "new" to the Hero 10 again and it updated again and works with Hero 10.
Sep 17, 2023 · The HERO 12 Black should have a straightforward way to enable USB file transfer, but it seems like they might have changed things from previous models. You’re right that with older GoPros, you could switch the USB setting from GoPro Connect to MTP, but if that option is missing in the HERO 12 Black, it might require a different approach.
The GoPro Hero 10 automatically detects whether MTP (media transfer protocol) or GoPro Connect (webcam) is needed. When you connect the camera to your PC it should enter MTP mode. If you start the webcam software, it should switch to GoPro Connect mode.
The Hero 10 is not picked up when directly connected to a MacBook Pro using USB-C to USB-C cable. It does not have a "USB Connection" option in the settings to change from MTP to GoPro Connect like the Hero 8/9.
It's a Hero 10 Black. The app is the latest version from the google play store. Why would I want to do a factory reset on a new camera that I have just received, registered with the Quick app and updated to the latest firmware? The camera was about 15 minutes in my possession.

I'm experiencing an issue with my new GoPro Hero 13 Black. It doesn't seem to connect to any external Bluetooth devices , such as my Garmin watch or other Bluetooth-enabled gadgets. When I try to use the '+Pair Device' option, it doesn’t detect any available Bluetooth devices at all.
