Fali Mistry (1919–1979) was an Indian cinematographer, who worked in Bollywood films, from the 1940s to 1980, both in black and white and colour cinema, and along with younger brother Jal Mistry, he was one of the most acclaimed cinematographers of his era. He also produced and directed a few films.
One of the stalwarts in this field in Hindi cinema was Fali Mistry. Born in a Parsi family in 1917, Fali and his younger brother Jal Mistry contributed immensely to the art of cinematography in Indian cinema. His grandfather owned a theatre and ran a theatrical company in Mumbai.
Fali Mistry was born in 1919 in British India. He was a cinematographer and director, known for Fakira (1976), Guide (1965) and Jan Pahchan (1950). He was married to Shyama. He died in 1979 in India.
