The theory test. The theory test for car drivers consists of two parts. A multiple choice questionnaire and a hazard perception test. With the multiple choice test, you must answer a minimum of 43 out of 50 questions correctly in the allotted 57 minutes of the exam to pass. The hazard perception test consists of 14 video clips and 15 hazards.

Nov 25, 2022 · A medical driving licence is issued to a driver who suffers from a condition that needs to be declared to the DVLA. This can include diabetes, sleep apnoea, epilepsy or a heart condition. The DVLA pledged in its Business Plan 2022-23 that it would return to ‘normal’ processing times for medical driving licence applications by September, following long delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and strike action.

In general, most insurers will require their customers to hold a physical driving licence. However, it is worth speaking to your insurance provider to check their position on this. They may require you to clarify your licence status and that you are driving in accordance with the Section 88 requirements with the police, and provided you have proof of that, be willing to insure you.

Feb 25, 2022 · I still have the old style paper licence that expires next year. I have checked the DVLA website to see what I have to do to renew it next year and it's unclear exactly what I have to do. It doesn't indicate whether I have to change to a photo licence or not, whether I can just renew it online and keep the old paper licence or whether I have to do it by post. I have read all sorts of info online saying I need a biometric passport, which I have, but I have no idea why I need it renew my licence.
