Mar 3, 2024 · On the Apps folder, right-click Whatsapp > Create shortcut. It will ask to create the shortcut on the desktop, select yes. On the desktop, rename the Whatsapp - shortcut to Whatsapp to ease the next steps. If you want you can place the shortcut on another folder. On the launcher, point to the shortcut to launch Whatsapp.
The only way I can get it to launch is by going to task manager and finding whatsapp in the background processes, and then selecting it and clicking end task. After this, double-clicking the whatsapp shortcut launches whatsapp. Issue resolved with the App update with 2.2043.22.0.

What I did was to copy text in the normal way - then placed the mouse cursor into the Whatsapp text box with a left click - I let go of the mouse then held down Ctrl on the keyboard, then pressed V on the keyboard just once and let go. Voila! Hope it works for you. I did the same.

This will open the Programs folder, from this folder you can drag the Whatsapp shortcut to the desktop and/or the Startup folder. Try this option. If I helped you anyway, It makes me happy.
