Typically within 1 minute I'm getting solid routing globally. @OP, better for you to go one step deeper, run cloudflared and tunnel all your ingress traffic, then you can forget about the IP address all together and close up your ports.
Feb 9, 2021 · CloudFlare on the other hand seems to connect to HK servers that has a 20-30ms ping time. At NYC, I think you'd get sub-10 ping to pretty google, quad9 and CloudFlare. I'm firmly set that my DNS resolver should not do any filtering. Google DNS and Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 don't do any filtering whatsoever. That is by design.
E.g. set cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 as primary and google's 8.8.8.8 as secondary. Cloudflare's DNS servers are faster than google's at my location. Jun 12, 2023 · nslookup with both DNS ng Smart and Google is showing servers (I tested Youtube and YouTube Music) here in the PH, Cloudflare DNS is giving me HK server, tas currently down yung MNL server ng Cloudflare and currently on HK server of Cloudflare DNS also. Pero tracert ko naman sa HK servers ng Youtube is less hop compared pag sa Manila servers ako.

Now, click on "+Add record" => Select Type = A => add a Name (for example "play" will be play.riskyexpert.xyz or "mc" mc.riskyexpert.xyz) => add the server's IP on "IPv4 address" => make sure the Proxy Status is marked as "Proxied" and hit Save.
Jan 31, 2023 · I am only seeing the standard 4 choices too, with an ER605 (firmware 2.1.2) and Controller 5.9.32. Looking in Settings > Services > Dynamic DNS > Create New Dynamic DNS Entry 2.1.2 is adapted up to 5.8. 2.1.1 release notes say that DDNS customisation is included in the firmware - it for unmanaged only, or are the settings buried somewhere?
According to grc dns benchmark, my isp dns is actually faster than all of the public dns servers. I guess my only consideration would be security and privacy. I have an isp provided by my local power company which is a nonprofit rural provider. 9/10 times my ISP have "internet issues" its cus their DNS-servers are down.
