Dances with Wolves is an all time great so is Lawrence of Arabia which is still one of the most stunning movies to watch. Last of the Mohicans is an all time favorite as is Saving Private Ryan. Oct 7, 2020 · The heavy cavalry charge is still breathtaking - a perfect combination of score, sound and images. The huge battle scenes with thousands of extras make the movie one giant last hurrah of a now lost spectacle. The raw grittiness of the images can't be matched by today's CGI. The movie does hold up perfectly well today.

Dec 27, 2021 · It's a daft but relatively fun and well-made blockbuster action flick. Good battle scenes and relatively well-directed for the most part but silly caricature characters and not at all realistic either as a depiction of what happened or as a depiction of what life would have been like at the time. As a movie, it’s fine.

jonnyb61. •. Braveheart is just a much fuller movie than Gladiator. First off, the villain, movies are only as good as their antagonists and Edward the Longshanks was a monster compared to Commodus. Commodus was really just a sister loving bitch with daddy issues.
