  1. Jun 4, 2019 · When I approached the target of one of my "Barbarian King" contracts, he asked to parley, and we ended up taking on a party of undead, led by an ancient priest. It was great in the sense that I got my first taste of the priest without losing any brothers... so we won, he left, and everything is great... except I would like to know, did this affect anything negatively? Did I miss out on some content because I allied with him?

  2. Aug 27, 2020 · Except when I'm fighting the barbarian king. I should probably mention my lineup: 3x woodcutter's axe, 3x arming swords+heater shields, 2x longswords, and 4 archers with hunting bows. My guys are all in the lvl 6-8 range, and all have mail skirts or similar armour in the 130-190 range and helmets with 140+ durability.

  3. Apr 13, 2022 · So, I just picked this quest up to kill the Barbarian King, and instead he asked to work together to bring down a bigger threat. I said okay. His warhost wasn't that impressive. Came with a lot of thralls, 3 armored unholds, and 3 beastmasters. Figured the thralls would go down fast, but the unholds could do some work. Got into the battle and on turn 2, 2 of the unholds switched sides and went ham on my guys. Looked it up and they can go wild if not whipped by the beastmaster.

  4. Jan 31, 2024 · Is it possible that this fight doesnt scale? Im having a really hard time finding a 3 skulls version for it, they keep giving me a 2 skulls version. From what I understand, if I take it at 2 skulls, he will NOT be accompanied by a champion and I'm currently farming named gear for my brothers... ːThe_Knightː

  5. Dec 8, 2020 · The Henge location and the Barbarian King There's a location that appeared on my map during the human campaign, shortly after I was knighted, that describes a henge over a barbarian chieftain's burial, then has you try to "translate" the writing there (by guessing which of 4 options is the "right" text, 3 times).

  6. May 22, 2019 · Barbarian thralls and reavers are relatively easy. Chosens are killing machines who laugh at your armor. I am wondering whether nimble to reduce damage, indomitable to reduce damage, armor attachment to reduce ignore-armor-damage, or deep pockets and a lot of nets to try to catch them one by one are required, or all of them, in order not to be crippled by groups of many chosens.

  7. Feb 20, 2024 · barbarian king retreated I killed everyone except the Barbarian King and his drummer, and then he retreated off of the map. I still got the quest completion and in the text it said I handed over his head lol.

  8. May 13, 2019 · Hi, i dagger the babarian king to death to gain his armor. I got the helmet and the armor and the armor was adorned with ceremonial horn crafted by barbarian craftsmen. The armor attachment has no tooltip.

  9. Nov 17, 2019 · I got a kill the barbarian king contract at day 40. When I marched to meet his army, I found out that he is no ordinary king. He is da king of da norf! After countless reloads (I have to admit) , I managed to kill him , but still he one-shotted one of my best bros and his lovely dog. He dropped a really nice famed greataxe ːsteamhappyː This was one of the rare battles which I miss having a tank. I really wanted a tank to hold him in place. How did I win? Sent dogs to delay his advance.

  10. Aug 5, 2020 · I recently took on that contract around day 45 on veteran difficulty. The king only had a host of 11 reavers which was perfectly doable. The king's 270 armor is pretty good that early, so I usually try to stall him with a tank and then dagger him down last. He's quite easy to control with whips and maces.
