Feb 22, 2024 · The way to beat Yair is to be able to change the ranges dynamically while threatening with takedowns and punches. Ortega has never had great takedown and his chin is probably already semi-cracked at this point. His best bet is to somehow get Yair to gas (maybe Yair hurts him and goes crazy and he survives) and then sub him later.
Nov 29, 2023 · He’s still ranked number 3. And gets to fight in a title eliminator. Against the guy he last lost to. A sub fucked Ortega’s shoulder. It was a legit win for Yair. The whole thing is pretty fucking ridiculous, imo. Lose badly in a title fight. Get one win a cpl years later and get another TS. Get dominated in that title fight.

Not to mention that he just as fast as Yair despite being bigger. Barboza also has better staying power. He was still able to land that hook kick on kevin lee despite being half dead.
