The biggest players can still mash Wembanyama under the basket, but he’s far stronger than he looks, and he's willowy enough to absorb the blow but still alter shots. The scary thing is that there are clear areas for further refinement. Wembanyama tends to close out really high on shooters.

Jul 6, 2022 · Victor Wembanyama is a good athlete and given his height and length, he projects to be good finisher and lob threat in the NBA, which will undoubtedly add value to any NBA team which drafts him. I think Victor Wembanyama is a solid playmaker in terms of making the right reads and passes, but his ideal role offensively is main in an off-ball role as his future projects to be a 3 & D center with elite finishing.
Rate this Victor Wembanyama rookie card collection! sell it all for a numbered prizm or two. Just curious, why spend so much money on base cards and base inserts over a parallel or something numbered? Even with his projected rise in the league, these particular cards will never be worth more than they are right now.

Opponents take 31.1% of their shots at the rim with Wemby on the floor vs just 24.8% with Gobert. Wembanyama has shown a lot of promise defensively but DPOY level is putting the cart before the horse. He still bites on way too much, the block numbers will actually come down as he becomes a more disciplined defender.

I would expect Wembanyama to remain the #1 prospect, because he's gigantic, plays professionally against adults and does well, and appears to have a wide range of skills. He projects well as a shooter at his size. I think it's highly unlikely he's a bust if he doesn't have injury issues.
