Thank you Avi.Lovely write up and pictures.Happened to be there a week later for a similar trek but with a few bike rides added at Rishikesh and mussurie and a trek from mana the last village of India in that part of the country.Seem to be quite a few bhp-ian’s around.Was to originally do the Great Lakes trek but article 370 put paid to that and picked the valley of flowers in lieu.
Sep 18, 2019 · Day 3 - Valley of Flowers It had rained all night but in the morning the weather was clear. We were lucky. Weather is unpredictable in the mountains. The very next day valley was closed because of heavy rainfall. We began at around 7 AM. Valley is open from 8 AM - 5 PM.

Nov 26, 2020 · We were now desperate for a rain free day and the gods listened. It was cloudy but not raining. So, we had a quick breakfast and started for the Valley of Flowers. It’s a 3km trek from Ghangria before the mesmerizing valley takes you over. The entire valley is about 10kms full of variety of flowers, small glaciers and numerous waterfalls.

We camped in it for two days and we remembered it afterwards as the VALLEY OF FLOWERS (From "Valley of Flowers by Frank S Smythe, Natraj Publishers, Dehradun, India) We had planned to visit this place few years back. Landslides and road blocks put a stop to our plans.

Re: Trek to Valley of Flowers, Uttarakhand If you can trust govt. run institutions then GMVN organises all inclusive trip to VOF and Badrinath. They start from Rishikesh and end at Rishikesh which is well connected by road.
