At 531 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Kings Fork, or near Downtown Suffolk, moving northeast at 25 mph. A second area capable of producing a tornado was located near the Isle of Wight and City of Suffolk line, about 10 miles to the northwest.
