When Solara first comes to seduce Eli she is obviously dressed for solicitation and she says "don't worry you don't have to pay." Eli replies "pay for what," since he can't see all the visual clues that Solara is giving him.

Even if Eli could have managed to average speaking 2 words a second for 16 hours a day, which is questionable, it is unlikely that Lombardi could have maintained writing at that pace.

In the 7th book, Harry remembers this and realizes that the tiara is one of the Horcruxes. However, in the film, it shows that Ginny hides the diary, thus messing the whole thing up.

Jan 12, 2011 · As I remember, it was unexplained but had something to do with massive fire (s). The movie somewhat shows this, but the book talks about grey skies, dead plant life, earthquakes, et cetera. Since it happened suddenly, I'm kind of assuming some kind of natural planetary disaster, like a meteor or comet strike (s).
