  5. St Edmunds took over the education of the Canterbury Cathedral choristers in 1972, and became co-educational in 1982. In 1996, the school was refounded as fully independent. Recent years have seen substantial investment in our facilities and the development of a broad, engaging and challenging curriculum.

    If our pupils are to become the best they can be, it is important they eat well and develop good attitudes towards food. Meals of all kinds – breakfast, lunch, supper and bedtime snacks – are provided for the school by our caterers and are served by a cheerful, friendly and dedicated staff.

  9. There are six key entry points to St Edmunds School Canterbury – Nursery, Reception, Year 3, Year 7, Lower Fifth (Year 9) and Lower Sixth (Year 12). However, pupils are also admitted into other year groups where places are available.
