God knows what other information they gathered in that 2 year period, but suffice to say that they would never have let Sean Ellis remain a free man had they truly believed he was guilty despite their face saving comments.

I'm Elaine Murphy, the mother of Sean's childhood friend who got involved (I'll say!) in helping Sean get his convictions overturned and win a retrial (although trial 4 never materialized). I appear in the documentary "Trial 4" starting in Chapter 4.

They were at the scene, the gf's prints were on the clip, two people were going to testify to moving the guns but were murdered before the trial. The corrupt cover up story was a lot of smoke, but Mulligan was barely tied to these people, and even with immunity ...

The only significance is that Sean was at his cousin's house after she was murdered and happened to mention that he had been at Walgreens when the cop was shot. Somebody put the pieces together and decided he would make a great suspect for the Mulligan case.
