Aug 15, 2007 · Reviewer: norelpref - - August 24, 2007. Subject: deadpan, droll but entertaining. Jack Webb's classic monotone is well featured in this series. But the writing is actually pretty good, and there's some good character acting going on, which neatly provides a balance to Webb's deadpan delivery.
13 x 22 minute episodes. Pete Kelly (William Reynolds) became fascinated with the cornet as a young boy in Chicago and set his goal on becoming a musician. He eventually headed for Kansas City, Missouri, where this NBC series was set in the Roaring Twenties.
