Padatik is a 2024 Indian Bengali language biographical drama film written, directed and edited by Srijit Mukherji. The film focuses on Mrinal Sen's active lifetime and his contribution in the Bengali Cinema. [1] [2] The film released theatrically on 15 August 2024, India's Independence Day. [3]
With Chanchal Chowdhury, Korak Samanta, Monami Ghosh, Samrat Chakrabarti. Mrinal Sen's journey from his struggling early days as an idealistic filmmaker during India's independence to his pivotal role in the Indian New Wave cinema movement in 1950s Calcutta, working alongside Satyajit Ray.
