In his long career spanning both World Wars, he served as Chief of Mission in eight countries, as Assistant Secretary of State for Political Affairs, and married into Russian nobility .

Nov 21, 2023 · A GIANT ON the Vancouver arts scene has died. Norman Armour passed away peacefully on November 19, his family confirmed today. He had been engaged in a battle with lung cancer. He’s survived by his partner Lorna Brown and extended family.
The staff and board at PuSh are devastated at the news that PuSh co-founder and longest-serving Artistic and Executive Director Norman Armour passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Norman was a central presence in our community, and we will miss him.
