Established in the year 1980 under Sultan-Ul-Uloom Education Society (SUES), Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology is a Minority Educational Institution affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad and approved by AICTE, New Delhi and accredited by the NAAC with Grade A+ and the Institution of Engineers, India.
Muffakham Jah Nawab Walashan Sahebzada Mir Karamath Ali Khan Bahadur (born 27 February 1939) is a member of House of Asaf Jah. He is the son of Prince Azam Jah and Dürrüşehvar Sultan.
In 1980, the Society established the Muffakham Jah College of Engineering, which within a very short span of time, emerged as a leading and prestigious Engineering College, in the erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh.

Nizam Mir Barkat Ali Khan Siddiqi Mukarram Jah, Asaf Jah VIII (6 October 1933 – 15 January 2023), less formally known as Mukarram Jah, was the titular Nizam of Hyderabad between 1967 and 1971. [1] He was the head of the House of Asaf Jah until he died in 2023.
Muffakham Jah college of engineering & Technology (MJCET), committed to quality education, was established in the year 1980 by Sultan-Ul-Uloom Education Society (SUES) which is formed by a group of visionaries & intellectuals from various walks of life.
It was in this backdrop that the Sultan Ul Uloom Education Society stepped in to establish a Muslim minority engineering college in Hyderabad with the name of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) which was the dream of the visionary founders of the society.
