Mar 29, 2023 · The problem I think with Maquia isn't necessarily that it was written poorly, or anything to that degree. It's that it didn't have enough run time. I think every single problem that the Maquia film had was rooted in the fact that it's a 2hour movie, when it would have been ideal as a 24~26 2 season long anime.
Maquia was fantastic in my book, definiately not without its flaws, but the main story being Maquia and Ariel was very touching. Lots of great familial themes. Had a bit of a thematic similarity to Interstellar and the passage of time (thought very different situation and circumstance).

I just ugly cried after watching Maquia: When the promised flower blooms. I experienced quite the range of emotions during those two hours I would recommend this to anyone. The visuals are beautiful. I'm happy both were reunited in the ending, even if it was a bit bittersweet. I only really have 4 complaints about it

Aug 24, 2020 · It's amazing. I'm not a big crybaby but yeah this movie struck a cord. The relationship between the mother and son is beautiful.
Mar 10, 2021 · I really liked the philosophical tone of the anime. The story just keeps getting better as it goes on. It has the best anime monologue of all time. It's similar to Maquia in the way the story is told over the course of several years. Eve no Jikan A sci-fi show reminiscent of the works of Isaac Asimov. It deals with human interactions with ...
