Aug 13, 2011 · John Evan is certainly my favorite keyboardist in the rock genre. He really did make some amazing stuff. The undeniable awesomeness of the 70's era Tull albums certainly owes a lot to him. One of the best stage personas I've ever seen too. That of the drunken crazy ice cream man. Certainly a very humorous, grim, and theatrical character.

Apr 13, 2011 · John Evan! He was a founding member of the band, even tho he wasn't present for the 1st 2 albums. His playing and input allowed Tulls sound to become what it was. Besides nobody since has played that screaming Hammond B3 the way he did, or turn a classical phrase into a cool bluesy thing the way he could on the piano.

Sep 4, 2010 · I am not sure of the chronology of who was a member first, Glenn or Jeffrey, but according to the Wikipedia article below it was Jeffrey who suggested that John Evans change his name to John Evan because he thought the band name sounded better as the John Evan Band vs. The John Evans Band…such small details…LOL.
