Ivanhoe Grammar School is a coeducational School for students from Early Learning to Year 12 with campuses in Ivanhoe and Mernda in Melbourne, Victoria.
More than 100 years since it opened its doors in 1915 with 12 students in a Parish Hall, Ivanhoe Grammar School has grown to become one of Melbourne’s leading private schools. Today, it is a multi-campus, co-educational school offering Early Learning to Year 12.
Ivanhoe Grammar School provides state-of-the-art learning opportunities across four beautiful campuses in three locations. Our Ivanhoe Campus location comprises Buckley House (from Early Learning to Year 6) and Ridgeway Campus (Year 7 – Year 12) as well as an integrated Ivanhoe International Academy.

The process to apply for enrolment is straightforward. To ensure an accountable and equitable process of enrolling students at Ivanhoe Grammar School is maintained, the following process will be followed for all new applications.

Online applications open in November 2024. Information Sheet. Applications. General Excellence Award applications are open to students entering Year 7 or Year 10 in 2026. General Excellence Award applications are open to external students and currently enrolled Ivanhoe Grammar School students.
Pathways Program (Years 7 and 8) transitioning to Fully Co-educational in Year 7 2025 and Year 8 2026. Currently, students in Year 7 and Year 8 at Ridgeway Campus undertake gender-specific classes in core Middle Years subjects and co-educational classes in all others.
