You could also look at it as Christmas beginning (in the sense that decorations are just starting to go up), and yet mom and dad are already anticipating school starting back up again because they’re preempting the headache of having the kids home on break even at the beginning of the month, because that’s the sort of thing you’d have to plan well in advance as a parent when it comes to work schedules and whatnot.
