Jun 21, 2022 · In TCW it's Ian Abercrombie and Tim Curry. Rebels uses both Sam Witwer and Ian McDiarmid. TCW S7 just uses old dialogue for Palpatine with Ian, same with Bad Batch, but Bad Batch has new Ian McDiarmid dialogue this year. It is odd that McDiarmid didn't just voice him at the end of TCW and in Rebels instead of Witwer. 18.
Jun 19, 2024 · I’ll always be grateful that we got two incredible voice actors to lend their talent. Abercrombie plays the calm evil of palpatine perfectly in earlier seasons, and Curry delivers the snarling sadism of Sidious incredibly in Sidious’ more arrogant and evil presence in 5/6 .

Oct 2, 2023 · When I met Ian McDiarmid at Celebration this year, I specifically wanted him to sign and dedicate a TRoS image for me. I told him I thought Palpatine had never looked better - he smiled (you know, the smile of warm reassurance that we constantly saw in the prequels) and he agreed.
Apr 19, 2021 · Yup, and to add on to that, Palpatine is still voiced by Ian Abercrombie in the Clovis arc in season 6 since that was originally supposed to be released as part of season 5. Abercrombie's lines in that arc were recorded before he passed away.

Mar 24, 2023 · Ian Abercrombie Well, they said the voice actors, so more along the lines of animation and video games. But you could then include Clive Revill, who voiced over the Emperor in the non-special edition of Empire, or Paul Hecht who played him in the NPR radio dramas.
