Apr 12, 2002 · I'd put this album, roughly, under the category of progressive rock, with many symphonic elements. Both Clive Nolan and Oliver Wakeman are keyboard players, and it comes natural for the album to be mainly based on keyboards, than guitars.
The 'Hound of the Baskervilles' is the second album of Clive Nolan (well known from ARENA and PENDRAGON) and Oliver Wakeman (Yes! You're right. The son of the great Rick Wakeman of YES). Their debut 'Jabberwocky' was based on the legend of the Jabberwock.
For "Hound of the Baskervilles", he teams up with Oliver Wakeman (son of Rick) to transform Arthur Conan-Doyle's most famous Sherlock Holmes novel into a concept album.
