Oct 27, 2020 · The event 100% fires if Charles dies with either: 1) No heir, 2) Marie de Bourgogne (4/5/3) as an heir, 3) An heir with a weak claim, 4) Can occasionally fire with an heir who has an average claim. If Charles gets an heir with a strong claim that is not Marie, then the event won't fire as long as the heir doesn't die.

If your lucky you might get they one were you can have no heir or you can pick to have a really good one. If your heir is of age their is a chance depending on his age that he will have a heir.

I feel like If you are playing a Kingdom or Empire you should definitely be able to name your heir, like in the new EUIV dlc. I don't even know if there are "heirs" in the sense of previous paradox games.

Sep 5, 2020 · This seemed fine and my heir, my daughter, was still the heir to the earldom of Connacht. Until I tried to negotiate a marriage between her and my son's son (not of my dynasty). Once I did that, it removed my daughter as my heir and now none of my children are heirs and my son who is not of my dynasty is set to inherit all of my titles even though I have confederate partition.
