Aug 13, 2024 · Paris Olympics: Chinese shuttler He Bingjiao, 27, announced her retirement from international badminton after winning a silver medal in women's singles at the Games. Bingjiao defeated PV Sindhu in the Round of 16 in Paris earlier in the month.
Who is He Bing Jiao? The 24-year-old shuttler hails from Suzhou in China. She is a left-handed player and is coached by Xia Xuanze and Luo Yigang. She started playing badminton at the age of five after her parents, who are gymnastic coaches, encouraged her to do so. Chinese badminton players Wang Xin, Wang Shixian, and Lin Dan are her idols.
