E. Harikumar (13 July 1943 – 24 March 2020), renowned Malayalam short story writer, novelist and essayist from Kerala, the southern State of India. Many of his works are translated into English and other Indian languages, a few adapted to the small screen too.
During his creative life spanning about six decades Harikumar published 176 short stories and won wide acclaim. His writing is a celebration of humanistic values. As a master story-teller, he allowed the story to develop naturally never interfering with its turns and climax.
