Hannibal (/ ˈhænɪbəl /; Punic: 𐤇𐤍𐤁𐤏𐤋, romanized: Ḥannībaʿl; 247 – between 183 and 181 BC) was a Carthaginian general and statesman who commanded the forces of Carthage in their battle against the Roman Republic during the Second Punic War. Hannibal's father, Hamilcar Barca, was a leading Carthaginian general during the First Punic War.
Hannibal is a psychological horror-thriller TV series that follows the relationship between FBI profiler Will Graham and forensic psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter, a cannibalistic serial killer. The series, developed by Bryan Fuller, ran for three seasons from 2013 to 2015 and received critical acclaim and a cult following.
