My hunting buddy took his son out yesterday for our youth rifle season and he was able to harvest a young buck. Jan 16, 2009 · The case geometry of the 7.62x39 mandates a much more pronounced curvature to the magazine (as in the AK itself) for reliable feeding. In a straighter mag, like those used in the AR platforms, they'll give you frequent feed issues and stopages. Go with the Grendal, or as had been mentioned, the 300 Blackout.
Nov 30, 2016 · Xbr and 99 hunters have been my go to last season for my grendels and took a pile of audad, deer and pigs the 100gr pils is what makes the Grendel shine. That being said the 97 gr absolute hammers and Rl10x is getting me just shy of 3k FPS and shoots very good groups. So my go to now is the 97gr absolute hammers and rl10.
Nov 2, 2020 · Left to Right. 6 Grendel 105 Berger 2.380 (basically 6 ARC) 25 Grendel 131 ACE 2.580. 6.5 Grendel 123 SST 2.250 (factory) 6.5 creedmoor. I'm thinking 12.5" bolt rifle suppressed! The 131 should get around 2450fps. At 600 yards it's at 1800fps with 1000 lbs of energy.
Apr 6, 2020 · My first endeavor with the 6.5 Grendel was with a BCA complete upper which was a mistake. Long story but I ended up having the barrel replaced and finally got it to shoot sub moa. Accuracy is in the barrel and trigger so use your money to get good ones. M.
Apr 28, 2018 · Got three deer this season. Used my BCA 20 in. upper in 6.5 Grendel. This thing shoots under 1 moa. The hornady black ammo loaded with the 123 eldm is quite deadly and a bit on the explosive side. Here is the only one I recovered and this looks like it's just the jacket. The core appears to have separated and it did exit the deer.

Aug 1, 2022 · Until the 6mm ARC became available 6.5 Grendel was my favored deer rifle for roughly 5 years. shot placement & bullet choice can be more of a factor than your cartridge IMHO. Personally chose the bolt action CZ 527 action w a 22" barrel. used TTSX & SST's & preferred the all copper bulet. the SST was just more explosive than id prefer from a ...
