Lawrence Gene Fullmer (July 21, 1931 – April 27, 2015) was an American professional boxer and World Middleweight champion. He was known as The Utah Cyclone, [2] The Mormon Mauler, and as "Cyclone" Gene Fullmer.

Gene Fullmer (Cyclone) was an American professional boxer. He was a middleweight world champion. In a career spanning 11 years, 11 months, and 16 days, Fullmer amassed a record of 47-6-3, which includes 15 wins via KO. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) in 1991.
A mormon from West Jordan, Utah, Gene Fullmer turned pro in 1951, one month before his 20th birthday. He scored knockouts in 14 of his first 16 pro fights while campaigning primarily in the West. Among his significant early victories was a points win over future middleweight champ Paul Pender.
