Garfield High School is a member of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) and the 3A Metro League. Garfield Athletics subscribes to the WIAA, Metro League, and Seattle School District academic and eligibility rules.
This class concentrates on how the human experience is expressed in literature from around the world. Students learn to read analytically and write clearly and purposefully. Course topics and texts are aligned to the “Power and Oppression” domain of the SPS Ethnic Studies Framework.

For those who prefer, paper copies are available for pick up in in Garfield’s Main Office.
