GWT is great in terms of performance but not so good with looks GXT and Vaadin which are built on GWT provide more rich features, more widgets, good in terms of UI and lags in performance.

Dec 6, 2011 · If you want the text styled the same way as other GXT text, create a GXT Text object and add that instead. If you want a custom style, then you'll need to use your own CSS as suggested by @denu. I think something like new Text("xxxx"); might be what you want.

Jun 24, 2011 · GXT models internally serialize using a Map<String, Object>, which means that any types not explicitly serialized elsewhere in your RPC will give you errors when put in a GXT model. The workaround there is to put a private, unused field of the type you want serialized (enums were my biggest pain).

Mar 30, 2013 · GXT 2.0.1 Maven 2.2.1 gwt-maven-plugin 1.1 maven-compiler-plugin 2.0.2 (and it's source and target configuration is 1.6) So I've changed GWT version to 2.0.4, but my GXT version seems to be incompatible with it. The minimum version of GXT i've found is 2.2.5 but with it my project looks... weird :) So, is there older compatible version of it?
