Frederick Elmes, ASC (born November 4, 1946) is an American cinematographer, known for his association with the independent film movement. [1] [2] He is a long-time collaborator of directors David Lynch, Ang Lee, Charlie Kaufman, Jim Jarmusch, and Todd Solondz.
FREDERICK ELMES - ASC. Frederick Elmes' interest in photography began when his father gave him his Leica camera. Soon after - he built his own darkroom to gain more control over his images. Turning home movies into theatrical productions - he became an avid cinematographer - winning student filmmaking awards along the way.
