Jul 19, 2021 · Answers to this can only be largely opinion-based, so this is only my perspective, I think "Fräulein" or, better, "junges Fräulein" is still fine as a half-funny old-fashioned sounding address for a child. However, the term is a bit loaded, and some more feminist parents might not like it. Children might not even know the word.
Nov 26, 2018 · 6. Jawohl. simply means Got it. It's not outdated. You may hear. Jawoll! quite often if one acknowlegdes something which went well. For example, commenting a good move in a football game. Fräulein is not used any more to address unmarried women. You may still hear it when parents address their daughter.

Mar 14, 2019 · There are exeptions, e.g. the already mentioned German words 'Fräulein' and 'Mädchen', which are neuter because all diminutive forms are neuter, but in general, most words solely referring to male persons are of the masculine grammatical gender and most words solely referring to female persons are of the feminine grammatical gender.
Mar 20, 2021 · A better translation would be "Ms.", as standard German no longer makes the distinction between married (Frau) and unmarried (Fräulein) (I didn't know parts of Austria still use "gnädige Frau", which I have only encountered in books taking place no later than 1935; maybe those parts stil use Fräulein too?).

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob im Englischen "Miss" (für unverheiratete junge Frau) ebenfalls veraltet ist (ich bin halt schon so alt ;-) ).
