Mar 25, 2020 · I have tried everything like reinstalling DirectX, reinstalling .NET core, reinstalling Visual C++ 20xx 64 and 86 bit versions, reinstalling the Epic Games Launcher itself, running in as an administrator, running it in compatibility mode, installing some DLLs in System32 and SysWOW64 Windows files, disabling Antivirus, and it still does not open.
I then re-ran the installer as described in step 6 on the Epic page linked to above, which in my case is C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\EOS\EpicOnlineServices.msi and the installer ran successfully fixing the issue. Hope this helps someone.

I have been battling issues with my Epic Games Launcher downloading games. I haven't changed anything in the system when these issues started occurring. I have followed all of the suggestions from EPIC with no resolution. When I am downloading games in the launcher, at some point during the install or update process my PC Blue screens.
Mar 31, 2024 · I get on my epic games account after re installing the game thinking that was the problem. Only to find out that I needed to recover my password. My name was also changed and I also have a parental block on my account I emailed 3 of Epic games technical support people and the could not help me get the person off my account.

Aug 18, 2020 · Within my son's Epic Games account he currently has a connection to his Switch. When I try to link to his new box (which is his home xbox) I want it to connect to his xbox account, but instead it connects to my xbox account and at no point does it ask which box account to link to! We have a family Microsoft account where I have 2 son's listed.
Jul 6, 2023 · when you play an epic game on xbox for the first time it creates an epic account linked to the xbox account, to use that account on other platforms you need to make it a proper epic account by logging in on the website with xbox creds then create the account fully, it aint rocket science, why these independent advisors insist on being here is beyond me.
