Sep 29, 2020 · Like the interplay between Dempsey and Makepeace and she is so pretty. - there’s a but- so violent and too many shootouts. Dempsey character sooooo annoying😡. To be fair, Dempsey's supposed to be annoying. He's one of those people who, I imagine, would get right on your nerves if you had to spend your days working with him!
Sep 5, 2020 · Cuts I’ve spotted in the itv version in episode 2 include one for language (again not surprising), and the scene in Reynolds flat was heavily edited, notably the part when Dempsey slaps Reynolds and he crashes into the drinks trolley whilst Makepeace shouts “Dempsey you’re out of order” was missing completely.

Mar 23, 2019 · The last time, I saw Dempsey and Makepeace it was on Granada Plus. It may well have been shown on Granada Men and Motors as well. I always felt for a long time that there was scope to resurrect Dempsey and Makepeace and make a new series as both Glynis Barber and Michael Brandon looked very good for their age.
Sep 30, 2024 · I also like a bit of retro TV (I got through all of Dempsey and Makepeace). I watched all The Sweeney too. I finished The Professionals last night. They're not on ITVX streaming all the time, but run in a loop, had to wait a while to catch the last 2 episodes. I think I started a few years ago, watching about one a week when they were available.
Jul 2, 2009 · i love network dvd's and i have a good few in my collection -the barron,strange report,the sweeney,dempsey and makepeace,sykes,the dustbinmen,on the buses,the goodies,nearest and dearest,till death us do part and loads others.its a shame that they only now release itv shows and not bbc shows as i would have liked more goodies and alf garnet ...
Can anyone put me in the right direction for the Dempsey and Makepeace Complete Series 1-3 Uncut set? I understand from browsing the internet a lot of UK episodes are cut on DVD and the versions are similar to what Granada Plus use to show in the afternoons.
