Oct 13, 2021 · Deep Red can be somewhat of a baffling watch, especially in its longer, original theatrical cut – the odd mix of themes can be jarring, with pratfalling romantic comedy sometimes sitting uneasily immediately next to brutal violence. But if you can tune into its tone, it’s a hugely rewarding film, one that satisfies on many levels and earns its reputation as one of the very best examples of the ‘giallo’ around.

Skin tones look realistic with black levels that are deep but with excellent just above black shadow details.
May 20, 2024 · The Rec.709 HD colour gamut performance is also very good indeed with just a slight undersaturation in red seen from the saturation tracking graph, but with DeltaE errors averaging 1.8, there is nothing visible with actual film and TV show content. Well done TCL. Calibrated

The QD OLED features a Blue OLED panel with a layer of Quantum Dot filter that makes up the red and green colours to create an RGB display.
