Aug 23, 2023 · Last released on DVD by Warner Bros. almost two decades ago, The Criterion Collection delivers a much-needed upgrade of Martin Scorsese’s After Hours, presenting the film in 4K on a dual-layer, BD-66 disc in its original aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Presented in Dolby Vision/HDR10, the 2160p/24hz ultra high-definition encode is sourced from a new 4K restoration by Criterion, taken from a scan of the 35mm original camera negative.

Criterion is using Arrow’s 4K restoration, taken from a scan of the 35mm original negative. It is presented here with Dolby Vision and a 2160p/24hz encode.

Jul 15, 2008 · In all a solid collection but Criterion was limited because production materials have been lost over the years. Other things could have probably been added, like more information on the "Arabian Nights" or maybe even more clips from the 1924 version of The Thief of Bagdad but I'm sure rights issues would have prevented that (Kino released a decent DVD for the film.)
