Every year I make a Christmas playlist, but I want to include some different songs this year alongside the staples I always put in (all I want for Christmas is you, last Christmas, slade, wizzard, fairytale of New York, step into Christmas, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas etc.) – any underrated Christmas classics I could include this year?
Love it or hate it, it's unavoidable now that the season has started. Every store you shop in and gas station you fill up at will be playing the old standards, the Mariah Carey songs, the "new classics" of Kelly Clarkson etc. Inescapable. We can skip the "I hate Christmas music" and "No, there are no good Christmas songs" comments.
Nov 29, 2023 · Winter Wonderland is about a snowy landscape but it never mentions Christmas directly. Jingle Bells is actually about riding in a sleigh during winter, never mentions Christmas. Let It Snow! is about enjoying a snowy day and the coziness of being indoors, but it doesn’t mention Christmas. Frosty the Snowman, again, no mention of Christmas.
Jan 29, 2019 · Plus there are plenty of “christmassy” jazz type songs where you could find saxes playing the melody since most of them were written in the 20’s with a heavy jazz influence. One of my personal favorites is the Christmas waltz. Sorry if the format gets wonky when this is posted. Good luck!
