Carmel Convent School was founded in 1970 for the benefit of the children of Jayanagar and the neighbouring extensions. The school is recognized by the Department of Public Instruction, Karnataka State. The school year begins in June.

Application for Transfer or Conduct Certificate Should be made in writing by the Parent or Guardian either at the end of the term or within the first 5 working days of a term. The terms are from June- September (First Semester) and October-April (Second Semester).
Academics. Admission to Std VIII are purely on merit. Admission forms can be obtained from the School office in the last week of March. An entrance test is held every year in the month of April.
Co-Curricular. Sports. A lot of encouragement is given to sports. Sports day is held annually. Out standing sports girls are honoured on this day. Our volleyball, throw ball, basketball, Table tennis & shuttle badminton teams have been representing our state at the national level.
School Song. Raised on high we lift our Carmel banner, Rally around, pace the ground together, All united lift our flag on high, And pledge true loyalty this day till we die. Carmel be our beacon light, In this wild tempestuous night, Be our radiant guiding star, O'er life's troubled sea.

General Regulations School Uniforms The school uniform is compulsory. The colour and pattern given by the school be strictly adhered to. Uniforms must be purchased from the school. Sweaters may be worn during the cold season. Sweaters of any other colour are not permitted.

May 29, 2019 · School reopens after summer vacation. A workshop was organized for all the teachers on the campus on Artificial Intelligence. The resource persons were Fr. Anil Fernandez and Mr. Leo Victor who helped the staff to explore the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence.
