It is safe yes, the only thing I didn’t completely understand after searching the sub is whether you can safely access Anna’s Archive with a normal browser (like Firefox or Opera) or not. I know I read something about it but I’m not sure. Maybe it’s because English is not my first language.

Jan 16, 2023 · Yes, Anna Archive itself is just a search engine, it’s fully open sourced. However, I recommend having a vpn when downloading from the IPFS fork as it is not https encrypted and therefore makes your ip public (Anna even confirmed this) and havr a good ad blocker. 29. Reply.

Could also just download before going out, sleeping, eating, really just download any time 30 minutes before you need to read it. It's really not that difficult. In order to keep downloads from this server relatively fast, it has a waitlist, but in total this should be much faster than waiting for 140MB to download with 20-40kbps. Vote.
