1.1.1.1 is Cloudflare's way of improving the quality of your Internet connection. 1.1.1.1 started as a free DNS resolver that sits between your device and the internet. There are three different modes you can use the WARP app. Services that are, and will remain, free: 1.1.1.1 lets you protect your DNS queries by encrypting them with HTTPS and TLS. We use our public DNS resolver 1.1.1.1 to resolve your queries and prevent ISPs from seeing and selling your data. WARP is 1.1.1.1, but better.
To subscribe to WARP+Unlimited, you can purchase a subscription. The price for the subscription is located on the button at the bottom of the 1.1.1.1 app home screen. Tapping that button will bring up a dialog for you to confirm your subscription.
In many ways, yes. WARP protects your traffic in much the same way as a VPN does, preventing Internet snoops from spying on what you do. Unlike a VPN, WARP is design to improve the quality of your Internet connection by using a more modern protocol, and can improve the routing of your Internet traffic with WARP+.
1.1.1.1 keeps track of console, DNS, routing table, ping, and traceroute logs. DNS logs are local to your device and not shared with anyone — you can turn off DNS logging by navigating to the DNS logs in Settings.
