Sir Kariamanikkam Srinivasa Krishnan, FRS [1] (4 December 1898 – 14 June 1961) was an Indian physicist. He was a co-discoverer of Raman scattering, [2] for which his mentor C. V. Raman was awarded the 1930 Nobel Prize in Physics.
He graduated in Electrical Engineering from Kerala University (1970), completed his PGDM from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (1976) and obtained Doctorate for his thesis titled “Some Strategies for Indian Earth Observation System” from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (2000).
K. Radhakrishnan (born 24 May 1964) is an Indian politician who is the CPI(M) Parliamentary Party Leader in 18th Lok Sabha and Member of the Lok Sabha for Alathur since 2024. K. Radhakrishnan [2] a.k.a Koppillil Radhakrishnan [3] (born 29 August 1949) is an Indian space scientist who headed the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) as Chairman of Space Commission, Secretary of the Department of Space, Government of India.
An alumnus of IIMB, he was earlier the Director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) Thiruvananthapuram and had played a major role in the prestigious Chandrayaan-1 moon mission, India's maiden moon mission project.
