Try clean booting Windows and see if that resolves the issue. Eliminate all non-Microsoft shell extensions (except the PowerToys PDF preview handler) and start a clean instance of Explorer.

Jan 14, 2011 · Can't find PDF files in My Documents Folder. I save my various banking statements in a PDF file format in My Documents folder. However, when I go into the My Documents folder they aren't there. The folder says 0 files. But if I go back to the website and open file I want to save, when I click "Save As" the file is there.
